Flakiss, first Westcoast Latina rapper to establish herself as a commercial success. The central theme around her albums “Liberate,” “Asi Soy”, “En Las Calles” and 24/7 focused on abuse, teenage pregnancy, machismo and girl power.

Raised in the hard streets of South Central Los Angeles, Flakiss made her triumphant debut in February 2004 with Liberate (Free Yourself) on Univision Records.  She is a voice for Latina empowerment and an advocate for women’s rights.  Her songs resonate with today’s youth, because they offer deep narratives of life in the barrios of America.

Flakiss has held her own by performing and recording along side such heavyweights as Down aka Kilo, Butch Cassidy, Kokane, Jae-P and David Rolas. She has helped promote the Urban Regional movement through out the world and has hosted her own morning radio show for “KOKO 94” FM in Fresno, California to the delight of many.  Recently she had a leading role as Lala in the smash hit movie “End of Watch” which debut at #1 at the U.S. box office in the Fall of 2012.
